Tea Thyme

It's Tea Thyme!
If you have a special occasion to celebrate or just want something a little bit different why not try High Tea!
Most city hotels are charging $30 to $50 for high tea, but a short train trip to Hornsby will bring you to Thyme Square, the best Cafe in Hornsby with high tea for only $15 to $25!
The high tea is served on the classic two-tier tea plate with unlimited tea, but arrangements can be made on the day with respect to coffee or other beverages and the service is great.
There is a selection of very tasty sandwiches, chocolate coated strawberries, petite cup cakes and sweet treats to create a very special tea time treat.
The sandwich fillings include creamy chicken with cucmber, prawn and delghtful smoked salmon. The only downside was the bread! While it was fresh, soft, miultigrain, the crust was a tad difficult to cut through so forget your lady like manners and eat the whole half! The warm scones were light and fluffy served with a generous dish of jam and cream. Then the fight begins for the strawberries, brownie, mini cupcakes and friand.
If you don't want to commit to high tea, there is a variety of treats on offer to have with coffee from their very talented barista, they also do great breakfasts for hungry cyclists and excellent main meals,.
The big drawback for high tea was the need to book 24 hours in advance - but if it's a special occasion you would be planning it anyway!
If you need proof of the reputation of this place check out the Google ratings - so bypass Blu-Water Grill and keep on heading down Florence Street to THYME SQUARE. (No - they are not paying me to say this!), they just need to update their website.
